A new report into Adult Social Care was published this week by Norfolk County Council.

It outlined how the council plans to cope with the challenge of getting the best care for the frail and vulnerable amidst an ageing population and cuts to the social care budget.

Keeping people active and independent will be a key priority for the council going forward.

The report also highlighted the role of the county’s 91,000 unpaid/family carers, saying they make a ‘critically important contribution towards keeping people independent.’
